Carol A. Miller 76

 Of Foraker

Funeral services for Carol A. Miller will be private. The Price-McElroy Funeral Home in Mt. Victory is assisting the family with arrangements. Minister David Holbrook will officiate. Burial will follow at Hale Cemetery just outside of Mount Victory.

She passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at Lima Memorial Hospital.

She was born on October 23, 1944 in Kenton to the late Frank and Kathryn (Cozad) Black. She married Arthur “Gene” Miller on August 26, 1967 and he survives in Foraker.

Surviving are her daughters, Beth (Ray) Hopkins of Kenton and Kristie (Marcus) Lyons of Kenton; a brother, Ronald (Becky) Black of Kenton; 6 grandchildren: Ian, Erin, Tyson, Cailyn, Morgan, and Shelby; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her step-father, Jack D. Johnson.

After graduating in 1962 from Kenton High School, she went to work at San Antonio Hospital in Kenton, then Hardin Memorial Hospital from where she retired.

She was an active member of the McGuffey Church of Christ where she served as treasurer of the Women’s Christian Fellowship, was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member and always made sure the church was decorated for the season.

You could always find her at her grandchildren’s events cheering them on. She enjoyed camping, jigsaw puzzles, and crafting. The one thing she enjoyed the most was just spending time with her family. Her contagious smile and laughter will forever be missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the McGuffey Church of Christ.
