Brad T.  Herzog

Brad T.  Herzog, 79 of Kenton passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2020 at his residence.  He was born in Kenton on July 5, 1941 to the late Edwin and Doris (Thompson) Herzog.  On April 7, 1961 he married Connie Marshall (they eloped and a formal wedding was held on Oct. 6, 1961), the couple would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in April.  He is survived by their two daughters, Nicia (Steven) Ray and Teresa (Matt) Triplett, both of Kenton; three grandchildren, Dustin (Shelby) Ray, Garrett (Mackenzie) Ray and Nathen Steele, all of Kenton; two great-grandchildren, Camrie Ray and Remington Ray; a brother-in-law, Bob (Jean) Marshall of Lima; sister-in-law, Norma Herzog of Forest and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.  He was also preceded in death by loving granddaughter, Terestina Ann Steele and a brother, Greg Herzog.  Brad also leaves behind his two dogs, Ginger and Tiki.

Brad was a 1959 graduate of Kenton High School and served six years in the Army National Guard.  He attended Wittenberg University from 1962-63. He was a hard worker throughout his life spending 36 years farming, 10 years as a truck driver/owner/operator, and was the production manager at Cascade in Springfield (1961-67) but his pride and joy was owning and operating Herzog Car Wash for 53 years (which he currently owned).  He was a member of both the Kenton Moose and Elks.  Brad was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at SCHINDEWOLF-STOUT-CRATES FUNERAL HOME.  A private service will follow with Pastor Brad Ellis officiating and burial will be held in Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Ohio Health Hospice
