Bomb Squad Called After Suspicious Package Found at Marathon in Findlay

A suspicious package found at the Marathon building in downtown Findlay on New Year’s Eve was investigated by Findlay Police.

 

According to a release, officers were dispatched to the building at 529 South Main Street, where security staff reported that a male left a book bag in a caged area in a parking garage.

 

Video surveillance of the male was obtained.

 

The Allen County Bomb Squad was called and examined the bag with a robot. They determined that it contained clothing.

 

The 28 year old Findlay man, identified as Nicholas Muntzing, was located and warned not to return to Marathon property.

 

Charges are pending in the case.
