Big Plays Lift Bluffton Past Riverdale 55-27

The Bluffton Pirates used big plays to defeat Riverdale 55-27 in Division 6, Region 22 opening round playoff action Saturday at D. Ray Baum Field.
Tyson Shutler rushed for 239 yards and three touchdowns for the Pirates (4-2) and also returned two interceptions for touchdowns. Nate Schaadt added another 182 yards and three more TDs on the ground for the winners, who will play Fairview in regional quarterfinal play next week.
Riverdale (4-3) got a pair of touchdown runs from Lane Morris while Kwade McCoy and Kade Dodge also found paydirt on the ground for the Falcons.
