Ben Logan Boys Golf Team Tees Off Season in Raider Invitational

The Ben Logan boys golf team started their season with a 3rd place finish in the annual Raider Invitational.

For the Raiders Ethan Ricketts led the way with a 78 finishing 4th overall. Jacob Mitchell shot 87, Trey Allen 90, Alex Naragon 92, Bryce Loomis 97, and Carston McCain 107.

Coach Chris Conley said, “I was pleased overall with the scores although I’m expecting much improvement as the season progresses. I see a lot of potential.”

In addition the tourney provided a JV flair adding a trophy to the top JV finisher. That proved to be Ben Logan shooting a 459.
The JV’s were led by Aiden Elsass 100, Luke McKenrick 107, Owen Obrien 119, and Gage Hamm 128.

“Three of these guys are freshmen and one a sophomore so again I’m really pleased with their efforts this early in the season,” said Coach Conley.

The varsity will be back in action Tuesday at Cherokee Hills where they will seek to defend last years title in the Russ Houge Invitational.

Kenton Ridge won the event with a 332, Beavercreek was 2nd with a 334. Medalist was Beavercreek’s Josh Kochosperger with a 74.
