Written by on May 16, 2019

A Bellefontaine teenager will be tried as an adult on charges handed down by the Logan County Grand Jury this week.

The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that 17 year old Elijah Leeper was charged with burglary and three counts of safecracking, which are all felonies.

The case dates back to July of 2018 when Leeper is alleged to have stole several collectible items and a laptop computer after breaking into a residence in Bellefontaine, where he is said to have broke two safes and attempted to open a third.

At the time he was under sanctions in Logan County Juvenile Court.

The Grand Jury also returned an indictment against a Kenton woman.

26 year old Mariah S. Levan was charged with one count of possession of cocaine.
