Barn Destroyed by Fire in Wyandot County

A barn was destroyed by fire over the weekend in Wyandot County.

 

Numerous 9-1-1 calls were made reporting the structure fire in the 15,000 block of Township Highway 49.

 

A Wyandot County Sheriff’s Deputy arrived and observed a barn that was fully engulfed in flames.

 

The deputy spoke with Kevin Boes who said he owned the equipment that was inside the barn.

 

He said there was an abundance of straw, hay, a few wagons and a corn header that was destroyed.

 

Boes said his mother owned the property.

 

Fire departments from Wharton, Carey, Upper Sandusky, Marseilles and Jackson-Forest were all on scene and the Wyandot County EMS assisted.

 

The roadway was shut down while firefighters battled the fire.
