Ballpark Bash Announces New Headliner for 2020 Concert

Written by on August 5, 2020

Ballpark Bash organizers have announced a lineup change for this year’s concert.

The Ron Keel Band announced their decision to restructure their agreement for the Kenton Ballpark Bash due to the continually changing regulations regarding outdoor events.

In a statement, the band stated that “As with everything these days, it’s all about risk management and we want the promoters and sponsors of the Ballpark Bash to focus on raising money for the Kenton Little League without having to worry about bringing an expensive headliner across state lines.”

The concert will proceed as planned, and organizer Brandon Osborn booked a new headliner, New Frontiers – The Definitive Journey Experience.

The 2020 BallPark Bash is scheduled for Saturday August 22 at the Home Run Memorial Park on State Route 292 Kenton.

In addition to New Frontiers, the following bands will perform: The Groove, Uncle Fester and Hiptonix.

The Ron Keel Band has confirmed that they will headline the 2021 Ballpark Bash.

Here is Ron Keels statement in its entirety:

Just like you, the entertainment business is taking 2020 one day at a time.

Thousands of shows have been postponed or cancelled. I’m very thankful for the shows I’ve been able to play this year – the Monsters Of Rock Cruise, the Australia tour, all the Midwest mayhem this summer which includes the Sioux Empire Fair, the 80th Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and Jam Against Hunger in Sioux Falls August 16th.

Compared to many of our fellow bands and musicians, who have had all their shows and tours cancelled, we’ll take it. However, we are not immune to current conditions, and thus some of our shows have been rescheduled for 2021 as well – including our Ohio gigs at the Smokin’ Country Saloon Bike Rally and the Kenton Ballpark Bash. Both appearances have already been rebooked and we’re looking forward to rocking Ohio next year.

The tough decision to restructure our agreement for the Kenton Ballpark bash is due to the continually changing regulations regarding outdoor events in Ohio; the concert is proceeding as planned with a great headliner (Journey tribute “New Frontiers”) and we’re confirmed to headline the event next year (August 21, 2021).

Ron Keel Band wants to play, period – and we were very much looking forward to returning to that region to follow the success of last year’s KEELFest show in Columbus. As with everything these days, it’s all about risk management and we want the promoters and sponsors of the Ballpark Bash to focus on raising money for the Kenton Little League without having to worry about bringing an expensive headliner across state lines.

We encourage all our Ohio friends and fans to enjoy the Kenton Ballpark Bash and rockers worldwide to tune in to our Live Stream concert August 18th hosted by http://bravewords.com
