The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office was awarded two Grants totaling just over $42,600.00 by the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
The Impaired Driving Enforcement Program (IDEP) and the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) grants provide the office with funding for extra patrol and education for the public or law enforcement during fiscal year 2020.
The funds are to be used for short-term roadway safety.
Sheriff Al Solomon said that Deputies would be focusing on problem areas on county roadways and some state routes.
