Written by on June 19, 2019

A car stalled out in high water on County Road 245 Tuesday afternoon.

According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, the driver had to be rescued from the vehicle.

Firefighters from the Mt. Victory Fire Department were dispatched, and were able to get the driver to dry land.

Deputies noted that the water was very high in that area at the time.

There are several roads still closed due to high water around the region.

According to information from the Hardin County Engineer’s Office:

County Road 190, between Township Road 255 and the county line, and County Road 110, between County Road 110 and 120, are closed until further notice.

in Marion County:

State Route 98, between Waldo and State Route 95, State Route 203, between State Route 4 and Prospect and State Route 746, between State Route 529 and State Route 95, remains closed.

In Union County:

State Route 37, is closed north and south of State Route 739.

This is not a complete list, so watch for road closed signs, and even if not marked, do not attempt to drive across a flooded road.

Continue to follow the advice of turn around, don’t drown.
