Another Hot Day; Severe Storms Possible for Afternoon

It’s another hot and steamy day.
The combination of heat and humidity will result in heat index readings in the mid and upper 90s this afternoon.
The National Weather Service said some thunderstorms developing this afternoon and evening may be strong to severe with damaging winds the primary severe weather threat.
In addition, locally heavy rain will be possible which may result in flooding issues.
